20th Annual
Christmas In Strafford
Please join us for our 20th annual Christmas
in Strafford…a unique craft fair experience. Artisans/craftsmen
from Strafford, together with other juried artisans will be
participating this year from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM on Saturday, December
5, 2009. Blizzard date is Sunday, December 6, 2009-9:00 AM- 4:00
PM.
We have 22 homes/shops/studios open this year with over 50
crafters participating, many from The League of NH Craftsmen, who will
offer distinctive one-of-a-kind crafts! Be sure to look for our
map and crafter information insert in the November edition of The
Strafford Community Calendar.
While shopping, enjoy some delicious
chowder, chili or soups, as well as other assorted culinary delights at
the Bow Lake Grange Hall or The Crown Point Baptist Church (downstairs –
tables and chairs available for you to sit, relax and enjoy your lunch!) .
This year, to celebrate our 20th anniversary of Christmas in
Strafford, we’ll be doing a “Stop Hop”, where participants purchase a
“Stop Hop Pass” ($3.00 per pass) and have it stamped at various
locations during Christmas in Strafford. The more stamps on the “Stop
Hop” pass, the better the chances of winning fabulous prizes. All of the
artisans who are participating in Christmas in Strafford 2009 have
donated an item that they’ve created to the “Stop Hop”. These fabulous
gift prizes, together with solicited gift certificates from various
businesses who have generously donated throughout the area, will be
grouped together and will be used as prizes for winners participating in
the “Stop Hop” AND you have several chances to win more than one prize!
ALL of the proceeds from the sale of “Stop Hop” passes will be used to
purchase gift certificates for food and other items and, will again, be
provided to families needing assistance during the holiday season. Over
the years, Christmas in Strafford artisans have generously donated ALL
of their proceeds from the various raffles they’ve sponsored, to
Strafford families. This year, we’d like to surpass last year’s
fundraising amount, and with your help – we can!
While
out and about enjoying Christmas in Strafford, you can purchase “Stop
Hop” passes from any crafter location, at The Bow Lake Grange Hall, as
well as at other locations throughout Strafford. Be sure to purchase a
“Stop Hop” pass for your chance to win fabulous prizes!
Flyers will be

Community
Survey
Center Barnstead Christian Church is going through a
strategic planning process. Our goal is to effectively use our resources
to address the most pressing community needs. As part of this process,
we will be conducting a community needs survey. We know that it is
important to listen to the thoughts and advice of those around us, so
that we can gain a better understanding into the needs of our community.
The survey will be conducted over the next couple of weeks. We will be
in the community during this time distributing and collecting surveys.
The surveys will also be available at Center Barnstead Christian Church.
If you have any questions please contact the church at 269-8831.
