Lighted
Heart Club News
The Earl B. Clark American Legion, Post 42 Auxiliary
hosted a Christmas dinner and party for the Lighted Heart Club in
December. The Lighted Heart Club is a club for blind and visually
challenged individuals offering support and recreation. Twenty
club members attended the event at the Barnstead Town Hall.
The
turkey dinner with all the fixings was prepared and served by Auxiliary
President Priscilla Tiede, Carol Tiede, Cindy Covalucci and Joan Balcom.
After dinner, Priscilla Tiede had made arrangements for the Barnstead
Elementary School chorus with 49 chorus members from the 6th - 8th grade
to sing. The club members agreed it was the best Christmas Party
they had ever had thanks to the Legion Auxiliary.
Naomi Avery, Vice
President of the Lighted Heart Club and member of the Auxiliary made
arrangements for the event.

Sunday
School
New year, new beginnings! What better way
to begin 2011 then learning more about God!
The Center Barnstead Christian
Church would love for you to join us for our Sunday School and Morning
Worship meeting times. Our Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. with
classes available for the whole family.
The children have fun
learning basic Bible truths from God’s Word each week. There are
two classes available for adults. One is a membership class.
The other class is a dvd-based curriculum taught by Dr. Del Tackett
called, “The Truth Project.”
This study is the starting point for looking at
life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson
discusses in great detail the relevance and
importance of living the Christian in daily
life. As it has been throughout history,
God continues to call ordinary people to make an
eternal difference in our world.
Then our Morning Worship begins at 10:00 a.m.. If
you and your family are looking for a church to attend, come and join us
this Sunday!
The Center Barnstead Christian Church is located on
Route 126, next to the Town Hall. For more information, contact
the church at 269-8831.
