Angel
Tree It Starts With A Gift… It Leads To Lives Transformed By Christ
Right now,
an estimated 1.5 million children have a mom or dad in prison. The
number is huge – but so is the opportunity.
Angel Tree
is a ministry of Prison Fellowship that reaches out to the children of
inmates and their families with the love of Christ. It seeks to
transform the lives of these families and to reconcile them to their
Heavenly Father as well as to each other. In Matthew 18:5 Jesus said,
“Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
Angel Tree
provides an opportunity to connect the inmate with their family during
the Christmas season. Through Angel Tree, these children are able to
feel a parent’s love, despite their absence.
Throughout
the month of November Center Barnstead Christian Church and its members
will purchase gifts to deliver to the children of inmates in their
parent’s name. If you would be interested in helping provide gifts for
these children or have any questions please call the church at 269-8831.
Donations of money and gift purchasers should have gifts back to the
church by the beginning of December.
The Center
Barnstead Christian Church is located on Route 126, next to the Town
Hall.
