Steeplegate
Mall
Receipt Program Ending
The
Prospect Mountain music department is still collecting receipts from the
Steeplegate Mall for the A+ Rewards Program. We need them all in to the
main office by Monday April 21st, or label PMHS on the back and drop at
the box in the mall food court, copies are fine. The month of March
will provide double points for department stores (Old Navy, Sears,
JCPenney, and BonTon). We receive double points for the following
stores in April: GNC, Hot Topic, Wireless Zone, Radio Shack,
Lenscrafters, Game Stop, FYE, and Children’s Place. Let’s turn our
current second place into a first place finish, it will earn us $2000!

Nighthawk Hollow Seniors

The
Nighthawk Hollow Seniors will gather at the Barnstead Town Hall at 11:30
AM on April 2 and carpool to the Pittsfield Area Senior Center to enjoy
lunch there at noon. The cost is $2.00. The Senior Center is located at
74 Main St., Pittsfield. You should call 435-8482 to reserve the meal.
Following
the meal, we will return to the Barnstead Town Hall for our business
meeting and ever-popular bingo games.
To join the
Nighthawk Hollow Seniors, dues are only $4.00 a year, and we are always
pleased to welcome new members and those who are returning from southern
climes.

Oscar Foss Memorial Library News
An Easter
Floral Workshop will be held at Oscar Foss Memorial Library on Saturday,
April 12th at 9:30am. Come join us to create a beautiful Easter bouquet
with Kreative Flowers and Gifts of Chichester. Registration for this
workshop is now open and closes on Tuesday, April 8th. A $20.00 workshop
fee for materials is due upon registration. Space is limited so call or
stop by the library to sign up for this fun event now!
Are you
interested in becoming a Friend of the Library? If you enjoy visiting
the library and would like to get more involved then join us for an
informational meeting with State Librarian, Michael York. Mr. York will
explain the process of establishing a brand new Friends of the Library
Group. The meeting will be held at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library on
Thursday, April 17th at 6pm.

The
Sky Family Concert Is Coming To Barnstead
On
Wednesday, April 16th at 7:00 PM the Maple Street Church, located at 96
Maple Street Barnstead, will be hosting the Celtic Revival ECMA nominees
THE SKY FAMILY who will be performing their high energy Celtic dance
Gospel production Celtic Revival. THE SKY FAMILY is Eastern Canada’s
premier Irish Dance production. They have been delighting audiences from
coast to coast across the United States and Canada with fast-paced
fiddle music and energy Irish Dance combined with humor and inspiration.
This will be an evening of great family entertainment for all ages.
The SKY
FAMILY hails from the North Shore of Prince Edward Island and uniquely
captures the Celtic influence of that region. Each member performs on
several instruments and contributes to the rich vocal harmonies and
dance. Visitors from all over the world have enjoyed their “Summer
Concert Series” at their SKYS PERFORMANCE CENTRE ON PRINCE EDWARD
ISLAND.
The Maple
Street Church invites residents of the community and surrounding areas
to attend this special concert. An offering will be taken during the

The Faculty
of Barnstead Elementary School would like to thank all of our community
members, including all of the parents of the students who are currently
attending and who have attended Barnstead Elementary School. Your
support during the March school district meeting will help the Barnstead
Education Association and Barnstead School Board to continue to focus on
common district goals to bring quality education to the children of our

BARC’G Announces Their Next Meeting
The
Barnstead-Alton-Gilmanton Republican Committee (BARC’G) has announced
that their next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30
pm at J.J. Goodwin’s Restaurant (upstairs dining room), 769 Suncook
Valley Highway (Rt 28), in Center Barnstead.
With
Republican Joe Kenney’s victory in the special election for the
Executive Council District One seat now history, the Committee turns its
attention to announced candidates and candidate recruitment for the
November elections. Republican gubernatorial candidate Andrew Hemingway
and congressional candidate Dan Innis were recent guest speakers;
announcement of the next guest speaker will be made shortly.
BARC’G
meetings are open to Republicans and like-minded Independents from
Alton, Barnstead, and Gilmanton, and any other towns in New Hampshire.
The meetings offer a great opportunity to meet new people or to renew
old friendships while at the same time discussing the Republican Party’s
renewed focus on grass roots politics and party unity.
Per the
usual meeting format, if you’re interested in having dinner (at your
option) or wish to socialize before the meeting, plan to arrive as early
as 5:30pm.
The
Committee reminds you to bring a non-perishable food item (cans of soup,
tuna fish, etc, etc) to the meeting for distribution to local food
pantries.

GOP Chairman Jennifer Horn Returns To Address Belknap County Republican
Committee
The April
monthly meeting of the Belknap County Republican Committee has been
scheduled for Wednesday April 9 at 6:30 pm at the Top of the Town
Restaurant, 88 Ladd Hill Rd in Belmont.
This
month’s guest speaker is NH GOP Chairman, Jennifer Horn. This is a
follow-up visit by the state party Chairman to address members of the
Committee and to continue the discussion that began in January.
Belknap
County GOP meetings are open to ALL Republicans and like-minded
independents. Per their usual meeting format, if you’re interested in
having dinner (at your option) and/or wish to socialize before the
meeting, plan to arrive as early as 5:00 pm.
The
Committee once again reminds everyone planning to attend to bring a
non-perishable food item to the meeting for distribution to local food
pantries.
