Belknap
County School-To-Farm Benefit Breakfast
The Belknap
County Farm Bureau is holding their first annual School-To-Farm
Breakfast on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 8 am to 11 am. The location
is the Barnstead Parade Fire Station at 305 Parade Rd., Barnstead, NH.
The cost is your generous donation.
What are
School-to-Farm days? Each fall, Belknap County Farm Bureau invites local
4th graders to this event for a day of leaning about the importance of
agriculture. Last fall 354 students from Belknap County attended!
Farmers and other professionals present mini-lessons and demonstrations
on topics such as dairy, beekeeping, wool, sheep shearing, eggs, oxen,
garlic, forestry and soil ecology. This field trip is a great
opportunity for students to learn hands-on about the source of their
food and fiber.
So come on
out and enjoy a breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, cinnamon French
toast, coffee & juice some of which has been provided by the generous
farmers of Barnstead!!
