Bob Guida, And NH GOP Chairman Jennifer Horn To Address Belknap County
Republican Committee
The Belknap County Republican Committee has
announced that their next monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,
May 11 at 6:30 pm at the Top of the Town Restaurant, 88 Ladd Hill Rd in
Belmont, NH.
This month, a candidate for Congress CD1, a candidate for State Senate
District 2, and the Chairman of the New Hampshire State Republican
Committee will be the Committee’s guest speakers. Pam Tucker will
share her reasons for running for the seat currently occupied by
Republican US Congressman Frank Guinta, while Bob Guida will discuss his
rationale for running for the seat being vacated by State Senator Jeanie
Forrester, who is running for Governor. NH Republican Committee
Chairman, Jennifer Horn, will discuss the goals and accomplishments of
the NH Republican State Committee, provide an update from the recently
held quarterly meeting of the Republican National Committee, and discuss
the plans for the Republican Convention scheduled for July 18 in
Cleveland. All three speakers will also answer questions posed by
attendees at the meeting.
With the bi-annual statewide elections looming in November, the
Committee is continuing to work to identify Republican candidates to
represent Belknap County in the State House and Senate. In
addition, the Committee is working to identify Belknap County candidates
to represent the county as delegates to the bi-annual NH Republican
Convention. Also, the latest information about the
presidential race will be discussed, and this year’s Cruise Committee
will provide a planning update about the Friday, May 27, 2016 Belknap
County GOP Cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Belknap County GOP meetings are open to ALL Republicans and like-minded
Independents. Per their usual meeting format, if you’re interested in
having dinner (at your option) and/or wish to socialize before the
meeting, plan to arrive as early as 5:00 pm.
The Committee thanks its members for
continuing to bring food pantry donations to the meetings, and again
reminds them to bring a non-perishable food item to this month’s
meeting.

Jim Rubens, Candidate For US Senate, To
Address BARC’G
The Barnstead-Alton-Gilmanton Republican Committee
(BARC’G) has announced that their next monthly meeting is scheduled for
Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30 pm at J.J. Goodwin’s Restaurant (upstairs dining
room), 769 Suncook Valley Highway (Rt 28), in Center Barnstead.
This month’s guest speaker will be Jim Rubens, candidate for US Senate.
Jim will share his reasons for running for the US Senate seat currently
occupied by Senator Kelly Ayotte, and will tell the Committee why he
feels he should be the Republican nominee. He will also answer
questions posed by the members of the Committee.
In addition, the Committee will discuss the
latest information about the Presidential campaign, about the upcoming
July 18 Republican Convention in Cleveland as well as providing updates
about pending legislation in Concord.
BARC’G meetings are open to all Republicans
and like-minded Independents from Alton, Barnstead, and Gilmanton, and
any other towns in New Hampshire.
Per their usual meeting format, if you’re
interested in having dinner (at your option) or wish to socialize before
the meeting, plan to arrive as early as 5:30pm.
The Committee reminds you to bring a non-perishable food item (cans of
soup, tuna fish, etc, etc) to the meeting for distribution to local food
pantries.

Obituaries
Sarah C. Lewis
Sarah C. Lewis (Sally), longtime resident of
Swampscott and Salem, MA and Barnstead, NH, died on December 25, 2015.
After earning degrees at Wellesley College and
Boston University, Sally taught fourth grade for many years in
Lynnfield, Massachusetts. In retirement she was an active volunteer in
New Hampshire at the Pittsfield Blueberry Express Day Care Center,
Shaker Village in Canterbury, and the North Barnstead and Pittsfield
Congregational churches. She leaves her brother and his wife, Philip and
Deborah Lewis, her niece Sarah Lewis, and her nephews Daniel and Nathan
Lewis and their families. Sally will be greatly missed by her extended
family and many friends.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11:30 a.m on May 21st 2016.
