The
Pittsfield Area Senior Center will be offering an AARP Safe Driving
Program at the center on Tuesday, February 15, and Wednesday,
February 16th from 9 am to 1 pm. Also on February 15th,
(Tuesday) you may come in between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm for Free
Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Assistance. Call the center
at 435-8482 for an appointment.
Chichester Grange will meet on Wednesday, February 9, at 7
p.m. upstairs in the Grange Hall. The February 2nd meeting was
postponed due to snow.
Brandon and Katrina Giuda recently visited Twin River Casino
in Rhode Island where Brandon competed in the North American
Grappling Association (NAGA) New England Grappling
Championships. In his divisions, Brandon won a gold medal
in the 50+ age group, a silver medal in the 40+ age group, and
had to withdraw prior to a bronze medal fight in another
division due to a broken thumb. Brandon practices
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Tokyo Joes Martial Arts in Hooksett.
The CYA will be hosting their 3rd Annual Parents and Friends
Night at the Concord/Epsom Elks on Feb. 12th from 7-11:30 p.m.
Entertainment will feature local favorite “MAMA KICKS”.
Cost is $20 each, which includes light appetizers, dancing, door
prizes, and a great night out with friends. All proceeds
go to the CYA to continue to offer great programs for the kids

Stonehill College Dean’s List
Stonehill College recently named the following local residents to
its Dean’s List for the Fall 2010 semester:
Epsom resident Stephanie M. Allen, a member of the class of 2013.
Chichester resident Katherine A. Stiles, a member of the class of
2014.
To
qualify for the Dean’s List at Stonehill, students must have a
semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have
completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

The
2010 Annual Report of Giving has arrived! There is a listing
on the Baby Threads of NH website and it will be posted in the store
(if it ever stops snowing) on our bulletin board. Some of the
highlights for 2010 include: 2,508 people that were helped at
the Days of Sharing Events with a fair market value of $57,446 Truly
amazing!
Winter items were especially appreciated by the recipients.
435 winter coats (75 new), 99 snow pants (79 new) 45 pairs of new
boots, 1,480 sets of new hats, gloves and scarves, and 150 pairs of
winter socks were given to those who needed them. Also the
Christmas gift bags were a huge success with 816 children receiving
a nice surprise gift! We thank everyone who helped make 2010 a
little easier for many people. We are open Tues. and Thurs.
