We thank those who donated bubble wrap, that really comes in handy.
Now, just come buy the dishes, plates, and cups so we can wrap
them for you!
Also, thanks to those that donate the plastic shopping bags, the
bigger the better! We need some greeting cards, specifically
anniversary cards.
Also, we really could use a wooden
bookcase. It does not need to be pretty, just functional. We have
received so many wonderful book donations, we have started a holding
section and need something to hold them in!
We are on Rte. 28 North, Chichester, near the Pittsfield line.
Mon. 8-12; Tues. & Thus. 8-4; Wed. 11-4 & Sat. 10-4. 247-7191.
Chichester Public Library News
Another book club starts at the library tonight! People who
are interested can come and pick up their book, The Burgess Boys by
Elizabeth Strout, at 7 p.m. for the next month. Plans are that
this group will meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.
This adds an option to those who want to be in a book club, but
cannot make the noon book club that meets on the first Thursday of
the month. This literary pick for the month is about adult
brothers from a small town in Maine and the complex relationships
among siblings.
The original, 1931 version of Frankenstein will be shown at the
library on Friday, Oct. 21st at 3 p.m. This should be a
wonderfully ghoulish good time for those who attend.
The Down Cellar Writers will be meeting on
Monday, October 24th, at 7 p.m.
Thanks to all who came to the book sale on Saturday. You might
have noticed a plaque on the wall at the bottom of the stairs, as
you entered the “down under” space. It reflects the Mission
Statement of the Down Under Book Store which is, as follows:
The Chichester Town Library Down Under
Book Store and its volunteers are dedicated to bringing the joy of
reading, sharing and owning books to the residents of Chichester and
its surrounding communities, while simultaneously promoting the
activities and services of the Library.

Letter To The
Editor
Chichester and Pembroke have the option of
voting for a quality candidate for state rep, Darren Tapp. I am
certain he will work for what’s best for New Hampshire.
I deliver time sensitive medical supplies,
so you can imagine how critical my car is for my job. Years ago, I
had a boot on my car that was going to prevent me from working the
next day. I reached out to my friends to help with the situation.
When Darren found out about this situation he immediately gave me
the remaining amount I needed to remove the boot from my car. Darren
was not carrying enough cash or a checkbook to make his gift, so he
gave me bitcoin.
I’m aware that many people may not
understand bitcoin. The thing is, Darren’s background in mathematics
gives him the ability to actually understand bitcoin. This is a rare
trait that voters should not discount. Anyone should want a state
rep with specialized knowledge and how it applies to technology.
Darren later went to the statehouse to
argue for a bill that would have allowed the state of New Hampshire
to accept bitcoin. If this bill passed it would have helped people
who were in my situation. Darren has not only been an advocate for
me personally, but also in the statehouse. I would encourage people
to vote for Darren Tapp so he can be an advocate for you, too.
