Chichester Town Library
News
Thanks to everyone
supporting the library and its programs. Over the past few
weeks, the people who attended the presentation of the Ukeladies had
a real treat with familiar songs of both long ago and of more modern
times. Toes were tapping and smiles were on many faces.
Then, this past Friday, residents were treated to the “Songs of
Emigration, Storytelling through Traditional Celtic Music,”
presented by nationally known, local fiddler/songwriter Jason
Tirell-Wysocki. Proceeds from the used book sales, one which
was held on Saturday, help to fund these special events.
The Knitting Circle meets
Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
Lovers of the Chichester
Library will be meeting on Monday, July 16th, at 7 p.m. This
group of volunteers puts together the used book sales and helps to
support the various programs put on by the library, whether it be by
setting up for them, providing refreshments, etc. This group
welcomes all who are interested.
The Evening Book Club
will be meeting on Wednesday, July 18th, at 7 p.m.
The next event in the
Summer Reading Program is scheduled for next Thursday, the 19th, at
10:30 a.m. “Wild about Turtles” is for 3-10 year olds and
will help them learn about these great reptiles. Sign-up for
this program is requested to help Mary, the Turtle Lady, prepare.
Lisa Prizio Memorial

The first Lisa Prizio
Memorial Award was given by the Chichester Town Library to a
graduating eighth grade girl and boy from the Chichester Central
School who exhibited inquiring minds, caring spirits and have
an interest in science, technology, engineering and/or math.
This year’s recipients were Olivia Berkeley and Mason Pillsbury,
pictured.
The award has been funded
