Gilmanton Community Church Food Pantry And Thrift Shop
The GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop needs your help. We are nearing
completion on our new food pantry and thrift shop building. It has been a
wonderful year of giving by many in and out of our community. The
building has totally been remodeled inside and fresh paint has been added.
All of the remodeling was done with donations of materials, labor and money
from many generous businesses and individuals. Along with the
remodeling and sprucing up of the interior, we also built and paved a new
walkway from our church parking lot to the new building. This too was done
through the donations of materials and labor by a number of wonderful people
in the community.
We now are down to just a few remaining exterior items to finish up our
building renovation project. We are currently in need of donations of
gravel, top soil, wildflower seed mix and lawn seed to complete the exterior
landscaping. In addition to this we are in great need of a crew to
replace the roof. We have, through generous donations, been able to buy the
materials to re-shingle the failing roof. Now we need a crew to do the
labor. If you are an experienced roofer and would be able to donate a couple
of weekends, please let us know. We are hoping to do the project on August
21 and 22 and 28 and 29. As well as experienced roofers, we will need
several people to help with the materials while the workers are on the roof.
If you or someone you know would be available to help with any of the
above projects or the materials, please call Jane Sisti at 364-7437.
On behalf of the GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop, thank you.
