Book Signing At The Northwood Farmers Market July 30th
Rebecca Horan will be at the Northwood Farmers Market on Thursday
July 30th from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. selling and signing her newly
released book: “Once Upon a Farm – A Fairly True Tale.”
In this quaint farm tale, Horan relates her story in a unique
way. Rebecca uses the rehabilitation of an injured fawn as her
excuse to start the farm she’s always wanted. Along the way, she
falls in love with life again ... and the handsome farmer next door.
In this heart-warming tale with characters both real and
imagined, Rebecca leaves the reader to decide where the truth lies
and the dreams become reality.
Come meet the author, discuss her book, and her own adventures
starting a New Hampshire farm. While at the market check out the
fresh local produce, eggs, jams, wine, and much more.

I Didn’t Know I Could Recycle That!
Do
you have three shovels, or two hoes, or five rakes? Do you use them
all?
That is what August 2 is all about. We have people who could use
that extra shovel, hoe, rake, or any household tool that you have.
Remember when you bought your first house and how difficult it was
to get these needed tools? You can help someone just starting out or
a neighbor in need.
You
can bring your extra tools to the Transfer Station. We will hold
them until Saturday, August 2 when you will be able to come to the
Transfer Station and pick up that tool you need for free. You donate
your extra tool and someone else who needs one can pick it up for
free. It is a twist on Neighbor Helping Neighbor recycling. There is
no waste.
Look around your house …. for an extra tool. Bring it to the
Transfer Station. Please see a Transfer Station Attendant who will
show you where to store the tool.
Tools we are looking for: shovels, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, saws
(electric and manual), hammers, chisels. If it is a tool that helps
with maintenance around the house, it is a tool someone in Northwood
needs. Anything that works and can help a neighbor. Remember you are
helping a neighbor and the environment at the same time. Think of
this as a special Swap Shop event. We are specializing in tools and
you will know when the tools will be available – Saturday, August 2.
It’s not recycling, it’s FREE-cycling …..
Please see a Transfer Station Attendant for proper storage of the
tools prior to the event.
-The item must be usable and/or work.
-If
there is a disposal fee for the item you are bringing in you will
need to pay the fee before leaving the item.
