Landscaping At The Water’s Edge
No matter where you live in
Northwood, the actions you take in your landscape can have far
reaching effects on water quality. Why? Northwood water
from every property enters one of many watersheds to eventually
create headwaters for three NH rivers. At the annual meeting
of the Northwood Lake Watershed Association on Saturday July 16,
8:30 - 10:30 at the Northwood Town Hall, Margaret Hagen from the NH
Cooperative will explain how our landscaping choices impact surface
and ground waters and with easy maintenance practices, we can
protect, and even improve, the quality of our water resources.
In this program, following the short business meeting,
Margaret will share with us simple, inexpensive tips we can use in
our own landscapes.
This program is presented free of
charge to all interested persons by the Northwood Lake Watershed
Association which was founded in 1992 to protect Northwood
Lake and its watersheds.
