Town Hall in Northwood, which provides a developmental program for
three, four, and five year olds of Northwood and surrounding towns.

Congratulations To The “Bean Hole Bash” Committee
Submitted By Northwood Board of Selectmen Scott R. Bryer, Robert W.
Holden, and James A. Hadley
The
Northwood Board of Selectmen would like to congratulate and thank
all of the committee members and participants for their efforts in
sponsoring the first “Bean Hole Bash” since 1997! The event was a
wonderful example of a community pulling together to celebrate
itself and to raise funds for worthy causes that benefit our
citizens throughout the year. The planning, organizing and delivery
of such an event is no small task, but you made it seem effortless
and the results speak for themselves! What a wonderful event… Thank
you all for your hard work and its success!
Letter
To The Editor
To the
Editor,
The
Northwood School Board has been working on a teacher retirement
incentive for some time. In a nutshell this incentive would help
allow six teachers to retire who are all at the top of their pay
step. It is a one time offer. It would allow the Principal to rehire
new teachers at a smaller pay scale and in doing so afford us a
savings. We need that savings for many supplies at the school. We
have had a public hearing, and the Deliberative Session. You can
vote for this deal on the 13th of August. See the reminder in this
paper.
I want
you to know that a milestone has been reached. The Budget committee
12 to 2, the School Board 5 to 0 and the Teachers Union have all
worked tirelessly on this issue and agree on it. It is a good deal
for the 6 teachers, Northwood School and those who work there, and
all 700 of our students.
Please
take a few minutes of your time and support all of us by voting for
this measure in the affirmative. And please, of you have some
question do not hesitate to call me personally at 942-5463.
