On Sunday Nov. 20th, Barnstead Brownie Troop 20887 showed "Thanks" to
their parents by hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner with turkey and all the
fixings. The girls helped to prepare the dinner and then served it to
their special guests. This was one task to help them in earning a badge.
Barnstead Missing Person
On 12/13/2011, members of the Barnstead Police Department responded to a
report of a missing person in the Locke Lake Colony area. Family members
informed officers that Paul Barnet had not been seen or heard from since
Tuesday, 12/06/2011. Officers were informed that Mr. Barnet lives in
Locke Lake Colony by himself and may have wandered from his residence.
Officers checked the residence, the extended property and the
neighborhood, but were unable to locate Mr. Barnet. Neighbors were
contacted, at which time officers were informed that Mr. Barnet was last
seen on Saturday, 12/10/2011, while he was working in his yard.
Mr. Barnet is described as a 54 year old white male, approximately 5’9"
and 160 lbs., with long brown hair (usually in a pony tail), a beard,
and brown eyes. Family members stated he may be walking with a cane and
wearing his favorite denim jacket with a patch on the back.
Oscar Foss Memorial Library News
Families arriving at the Barnstead Library
Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
A family enjoying their tea and treats at the
Barnstead Library Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
We had a fantastic time during our first "Fancy Nancy Tea Party" here at
the Oscar Foss Memorial Library on December 3, 2011. Everyone looked
"fabulously fancy" dressed-up in all of their finest accessories and
sparkling bling!
We enjoyed drinking various teas, eating special treats and listening to
a "Fancy Nancy" story. The children especially enjoyed winning prizes
during the "Fancy Bingo" game we played! We also had a raffle for a
"Fancy Nancy" book for all children who attended. The book was donated
by the Oscar Foss Memorial Library and our winner was Delilah Smith.
Congratulations Delilah and all our other participants who won prizes!
Fun was had by all who attended and the party was a huge success.
Everyone at the library would like to thank Carol Ransom, Emily Chase
and all those who helped to make our tea party so special and
successful.
