Barnstead Parade Congregational Church will be having a Thanksgiving Eve
Service on Wednesday, November 27th at 7 PM.

What’s Happening at Oscar Foss Memorial Library?
We are
having a Gingerbread House Workshop on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the
Oscar Foss Memorial Library! Barnstead children, in K-3rd grade, are
invited to join us from 3-4pm to create these scrumptious looking
masterpieces. Space is limited, so call us (269-3900) or stop by the
circulation desk to sign up for this fun event today!

Wednesday,
December 11, 2013 will be Patron Appreciation Day at the Oscar Foss
Memorial Library in Ctr. Barnstead. We invite everyone to come by
anytime between 10:30am - 4:30pm for some relaxation and refreshments as
we thank you for your patronage throughout this past year.
This year
at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library we will have a Hat & Mitten Tree.
Patrons are welcome to donate new hats and/or mittens by placing them
(unwrapped) on the tree. These items will be donated locally to the
Barnstead Christmas Assistance Program. We will be taking donations
through December 14, 2013. Thank you for your generous community
support!
Reminder:
The next Teen Library Club Meeting will be on December 5, 2013 from 5:30
- 7:30pm. The Club meets the first Thursday of every month. Join us for
lots of fun or call/stop by the library for more information.
Nighthawk Hollow Seniors

The
Nighthawk Hollow Seniors met at the Barnstead Town Hall at noon on
November 6, 2013. We enjoyed a delicious pot-luck luncheon. Following
the business meeting, a silent auction was enjoyed by all - many
bargains!
The next
meeting will be on Wednesday, December 4. Those members whose dues are
paid will be treated to a complimentary meal at the Red Apple Buffet in
Concord. Please bring a $5 gift to exchange. We will met at 10:45 at the
Barnstead Town Hall to carpool to Concord.
To join our
club, the yearly dues are $4, and more information may be obtained by
calling President, Christine Sanborn at 875-2676. Men and women are
welcome!
Thank You
I want to
thank the members of Post 42 of Barnstead for the ceremony on Veterans
Day for all the veterans. I also want to thank the women for the food
and reception after the ceremony. It was great.
I wish that
more people could take the time to come on Veterans Day to the Town Hall
to honor the veterans. It would only take a half an hour of their time.
