Successful
Spring Open House
Barnstead
Community Market would like to thank area residents and visitors for a
successful Spring Open House and Alpaca Saturday. Many people came
through and asked our demonstrators about their crafts and their
products. The alpacas had many small and big visitors, some who were
interested in starting their own alpaca farms.
Five items
were donated and raffled off. Winners are CJ Harrington – stoneware
mug, donated by Barndoor Gap Pottery; Tom and Jenny Malone – dried
flower arrangement donated by “Always in Season”, Dory Warn and soap
gift set donated by Mountain View Farm; Daniel Snell – alpaca scarf
donated by Valemont Farm and Diana Osgood – $65.00 massage gift
certificate donated by Lighthouse Massage Therapy. Items may be picked
up during the market’s usual business hours.
The alpacas
are usually visiting on Saturdays if the weather is suitable. The next
Alpaca Saturday will be on Saturday, May 18 when owners Jim and Bonnie
Kidder will be available to answer your questions about raising alpacas.

Community Market is located at 13A Parade Road, Barnstead, NH 03218. We

ladies and gentlemen, join us on Wednesday, May 1 at noon for a pot luck
luncheon, bring your homemade May Basket, and if you have any questions,
please call President, Christine Sanborn at 875-2676.

always welcoming new members. Dues are only $4 a year.
Taize
Worship – An Ecumenical Evening Service In Barnstead
The
Congregational Church of North Barnstead (CCNB) and the North Barnstead
Women’s Fellowship invite you to attend a Taize Worship Service on
Sunday, May 5th, at 5 p.m.
Taize
Worship is an informal service with lots of quiet meditation time and
beautiful music to help you enter into the presence of God. There will
be Scripture readings, prayers and the sacred silence and chants. The
chants are short, containing words from the Psalms or other Scripture.
Sung communally and repetitively, they become a unifying prayer and
contribute to inner stillness.
Taize
worship began 72 years ago in the small French village of Taize. It has
been spread world-wide by people seeking to promote reconciliation and
peace and justice in the places they live and work. Taize, France draws
over 100,000 people each year, many between the ages of 17 and 40.
This
peaceful service offers a time of worship for those looking for a quiet
meditative time as well as those not available on Sunday mornings. CCNB
is located at 504 North Barnstead Road, just above Peacham Road. Come
join us. All are welcome!
