Lily and
Poppy Killpartrick of Barnstead had a novel idea to celebrate their
April birthdays together. Instead of inviting their friends and
collecting birthday gifts, Lily, 8, and her 5 year old sister, Poppy,
asked each child to bring food items for the local food pantry. The
results were amazing! They brought 8 shopping bags of food to donate to
the Barnstead Food Pantry located next to the Bosco Bell Convenience
Store on Route 28. All the kids, and all the parents opened up their
hearts and made Lily’s and Poppy’s joint birthday a great success AND a
lot of fun by knowing that they were helping all those in need during
these difficult economic times.
