4H Belknap Equestrians
Submitted By Sophia Sykes
The last
4H meeting was on 1/12/18.
We also
had a 4H meeting on 12/15/17. This 4H meeting was so much fun for
all of the kids who came because we had a fun Christmas party. We
had food, pizza, gift swaps, and some fun horse games. We even made
slime with Savannah!
The
meeting on the 12th of January we did quiz bowl practice with
everyone. Quizbowl is a game with teams sorted by age, and different
4H groups compete and answer horse related questions. This will take
place on March 3rd, 2018 at Pembroke Academy.
The
next 4H meeting will be February 9th 2018!

Ash Wednesday Taize’ Worship Service
February
14, 2018
Congregational Church Of North Barnstead
The
Congregational Church of North Barnstead (CCNB) cordially invites
the public to attend a candlelight Taize’ Ash Wednesday Worship
Service, February 14 at 7:00 p.m.
Taize’
is an informal, ecumenical prayer service with a focus on peace,
reconciliation, and social justice. Prayers, sacred silence,
Scripture readings and songs encourage those gathered to enter
together into the mystery of God’s presence.
Organist and vocalist Cheryl Richardson will lead the songs that are
short, containing words from Scripture. Sung communally and
repetitively, they become a unifying prayer and engender inner
peace.
For
this service, a ritual of “Earth to Earth, Ashes to Ashes, Dust to
Dust” will lead attendees into the Lenten season.
Taize’
worship began 77 years ago in Taize’, a small village in the
Burgundy region of France. It has spread world-wide by people
seeking to promote peace and reconciliation where they live and
work. Each year, Taize’ attracts over 100,000 people.
This
peaceful candlelight service lasts 45 minutes. CCNB, a “year round”
church built in 1820, is at 504 North Barnstead Road. Please come
and join in as they begin the season of Lent. All are welcome!
