January Tri-Town Democrats’ Meeting Notice
Local
Democrats and left-leaning Independents are invited to the meeting
of the Tri-Town Democrats of Barnstead, Gilmanton, and Alton on
Monday, January 7th at 6:30. Join us to learn what part
you can play in 2019 to help the Democratic process.
These
monthly meetings give you the opportunity to learn about local and
state political issues and how you can participate in making a
difference. You will share the evening with like-minded individuals,
and have the chance to express your opinions and experiences.
The
guest speakers will be followed by action items and community
organizing. This meeting of the Tri-Town Democrats will be held at
the Wagner Barn Guest House at 63 French Road in Gilmanton. Come for
socializing and potluck any time between 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm.
This
meeting is open to all residents of Barnstead, Alton, and Gilmanton
who consider themselves moderate, liberal or progressive Democrats
or like-minded Independents. Potluck items to share are encouraged
but not required.

Christian Church Kids For Christ Program, you will receive a 20%
discount on the cost of this world class training.
There
is a cost for the course which includes all the materials you will
need.

Obituaries
Stuart Lee Boston, Sr.
PITTSFIELD- Stuart Lee Boston, Sr., 83, of Pittsfield, passed away
at the Epsom Healthcare Center on December 20, 2018.
Stuart
was born in Kittery, Maine, the son of the late Elijah and Effie
(Porter) Boston. They moved to Gloucester, MA when Stuart was
four years old. As an active member of the ROTC during high
school, he then served in our nation’s Armed Forces from 1955-1962.
While in the Army, he met his late wife, Harriet Young.
After
they married, the couple moved to Barnstead to settle down and raise
a family. Stuart worked for Paige Belting Co. for 31 years,
Timco Lumber Mill for 6 years, and finally as a greeter at Walmart
for 17 years. He and his wife belonged to the Center Barnstead
Christian Church for many years. He was also a member of the
American Legion Post #42.
Stuart
was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Harriet (Young) Boston, a
daughter, Melissa (Boston) Nason, a granddaughter, Christina Nason,
his brothers, Wayne and Ernie Boston, and his sister, Margie
Hodgkins.
He is
survived by his sons, Lee Boston of Pittsfield, Robert Boston and
his wife Wanda of Waterville, ME and Michael Boston and wife, Amy of
Peoria, AZ, and his son-in-law, Andrew Nason of Fairport Harbor, OH.
He also leaves 12 grandchildren: Anthony Boston, Alex Boston,
Courtney Boston, Katie Boston, Mitch Boston, Brandi Boston, Robert
Boston, Robert Nason, Sierra Nason, Michelle Egounis, Kaysie and
Colton Dodgson; and 6 great grandchildren: Leonard Boston,
Jenamarie Boston, Jazmynn Boston, Marlee Ouellette, Jillian Trempe
and Tyler Egounis.
A
Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 28th in the Center
Barnstead Christian Church. Burial will take place at a later
date at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

of flowers, donations in Stuart’s memory may be sent to the Center
Barnstead Christian Church, 116 S. Barnstead Rd. Center Barnstead,
