More special activities are coming right up at the
Pittsfield area Senior Center. On Tuesday,
November 16th at 10 am, the Pittsfield Fire
Department will be on hand to give us safety tips
and to teach us about staying safe. They will
also be explaining the automatic electronic
defibrillator the center has in its function room in
case of emergency.
On Wednesday, November 17th,
at 10 am the activity for the day will be making
turkey decorations using cookies, frosting and
candy. Please bring a 50¢ donation to help pay
for supplies.

entitled Art From Nature: Fall in New England.
Our library is beautifully decorated with clay
pumpkins, landscape paintings, beautiful felted wool
sculptures and printed foliage.

her birthday!

Congratulations and thanks to the Old Home Day
Committee for their successful “Trunk or Treat”

Letter to the Editor
I’ve faithfully been reading the Sun for
a few months now, searching for a support group. I’ve even
looked in Concord and nearby towns. But there doesn’t seem
to be one support group for victims of domestic violence.
If you’re in an abuse shelter, you get support, counseling
there. But, for myself a survivor of 32 years of abuse, I
feel alone. I know there are others, like me, who just
need some support , sharing “tools” of knowledge, even someone
to just listen. If you’re interested in forming a group,
be it 2 or even 10, please email me at
[email protected]
A most grateful thank you.
P.J.
Letter
To my neighbors in Chichester:
I want to
congratulate our three new State Representatives: Brandon
Guida, John McDonnell and Brian Seaworth. I wish you the
very best. You have an arduous challenge in front of you.
We heard from the voters that they clearly want our elected
officials to work together for our common good. As a
constituent, I ask that you seek out members of the minority
party and work together to make the best decisions possible for
all of us.
Second, I want to say thank you; thank you
to everyone who came out and voted last Tuesday. I am so
proud of our high voter turnout in Chichester and thanks to
everyone who run such a friendly and efficient voting
environment! Thank you to the team of amazing neighbors, who
distributed literature, stood at the polls and wrote letters on
my behalf. Thank you to the wonderful constituents who have
contacted me over the past four years with issues and
concerns and for your participation in the process. Thanks
to Doug and Irene who have always been my support and my anchor
in this roller coaster ride of politics and life!
I will soon
be a constituent once again and because of all of your
inspiration, I will be a better citizen and will monitor my
State Representatives and let them know my concerns and requests
on certain key issues.
The next two years are going to be
challenging ones. I offer my best wishes and my
prayers to the three who will be faced with many tough and
important votes that affect each of us.
Thank you everyone
for allowing me to serve you the past four years. It has
been an honor and a blessing.
Your neighbor,
Sally Kelly

3rd. The evening began with a pancake and sausage supper at 6
p.m. Members heartily enjoyed pancakes with NH maple syrup,
sausage links, fruit, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
During
the business meeting Anne Boisvert gave a report on the NH State
Grange Annual Convention held in Keene on October 28th to 31st.
James Tetreault of Arlington Grange in Winchester, was
elected to a two-year term as Master/President of the NH State
Grange. Hannah West of Chichester Grange was elected State

donation period will be extended until early April, when pigs of
an appropriate size will be in better supply. Mary West won

Wildlife sightings
included a coyote, a gray fox, wild turkeys, cardinals, and
other birds. Packets from the various state committees have been
received and will be incorporated into Chichester Grange’s
planning meeting on December 1.
The program for the evening
centered around recognition of Master Anne Boisvert’s wedding
anniversary. Anne and Marty were married on November 3, 2007.
There was a reading of facts about roses. Kevin Belval sang “Get
Me to the Church on Time,” and members reminisced about
memorable weddings they had attended.
