American Legion Post 112, Short Falls Road, Epsom, NH, will sponsor an
Italian Dinner on Saturday, January 16, 2010, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (Snow Date:
Sunday, January 17th).
Donation: Adults, $7.00; Child, 6-12, $3.00; Under 6, Free.
The menu
will consist of Spaghetti, Lasagna, Salad, Bread, Beverage and Dessert.
Door Prizes and 50/50 Raffle.
Proceeds to benefit Post 112 Community Activities.
Valentine’s Day is coming early at the Chichester Town Library.
Drop in on Saturday, January 16 between the hours of 9 and 4 and
make a Valentine Card that will be sent to the troops in Afghanistan
or Iraq. This is a great opportunity for us to let the soldiers know
that we appreciate the sacrifices they are making. The library willl
supply everything you will need to make a beautiful valentine. This
event is for all ages, so bring your family and friends.
The Chichester Youth Association Presents, MAMA KICKS at
Concord/Epsom Elks Club on Saturday, Feb. 13th. Doors open at
7 p.m. There will be a cash bar, door prizes and light
appetizers. Come enjoy a little early Valentine’s Day treat and help
support your local youth activities. Tickets are $20 each and can be
obtained by calling Todd at 798-3922 or Mariana at 798-3718. Tickets
are limited and this event will sell out, so act fast. We hope to
see you there.
The Chichester Old Home Day Committee will meet on Tuesday,
January 19, at 7 p.m. at the Fire Station. Anyone interested in
helping to plan Old Home Day 2010 is welcome to attend.
Chichester Grange will meet on Wednesday, January 20th. The
evening will begin with a Soup Supper at 6 p.m.
The Chichester Food Pantry would like to thank Dominick’s
Restaurant for their generous contribution to the food pantry along
with Hess’s for their contribution for Thanksgiving, as well as
Christmas. Thank you for being a caring community.

Out of Your Attic Thrift Shop
YES! We are OPEN again for 2010! Out of Your Attic Thrift Shop is
located at 345 Suncook Valley Rd., Chichester, in the Blueberry Plaza next
to Parker’s Roast Beef. Hours of operation are: Tues., Wed., and Thurs., 8-4
and Sat., 10-4. Anytime there is a school closing for weather related
events, the shop is automatically closed.
We accept donations of clothing, kitchen items, books, bric-a-brac, baby
items, toys, athletic equipment, small appliances, dishes and whatever else
you need to give away to clear more space in your home! We accept donations
anytime during our open hours, but please don’t leave things by the door
when we are closed. They just get spoiled and cause problems.
We still have the popular “X” room, where items are 25 cents each or
fill a grocery bag for $2.00!
We keep a Wish List of items that people are looking for. Right now, we
need Boy Scout uniforms and Cub Scout uniforms, a coffee grinder, and girls’
snow suits.

Obituaries
Ernest Norman Randall
Chichester - Ernest Norman Randall passed away on Jan.
2, 2010, in Kissimmee, FL. Born in Manchester, NH, on April 6, 1932, he
attended Manchester schools and worked at the Acadian Heel Mfg. Co. prior to
his 29 year career as an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Associate at
Lockheed-Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH, (BAE Systems).
Upon retirement Ernie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, traveling and
spending time on the farm. In his early years he raced cars at the
Manchester Motor Drome where he met his wife Lucille Marden. They married in
1956 and moved to Chichester.
Ernie is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mildred Randall of
Manchester and a sister, Mary Stewart.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille Randall; a daughter,
Holly MacCleery of Chichester; a son, Ronald Randall of Concord, NC; a
daughter, Sandra Graves of Barre VT; a son, Daniel Randall of Epsom; a
sister, Donna McGown; two brothers, John and Gardner Randall;
brothers-in-law, Linwood Marden and Lee Stewart; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-
grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Randall was a life member of the Chichester Fire Department, serving
in many capacities since 1957 including Chief. In 1975 he was instrumental
in founding the Chichester Emergency Medical Squad. He was a member of
the Chichester United Methodist Church and served as Sunday School
superintendent for several years. He was Assistant Scout Master of Boy
Scout Troop #85. Organizations include the Chichester Grange,
Corinthian Lodge #82 F & A.M, James Farrington-Pleiades Chapter #7 Order of
the Eastern Star where he served as Grand Representative of the State of
Mississippi.
A memorial service is planned for the Spring with interment to follow at
the Pine Ground Cemetery in Chichester.
