Congratulations to Carolee Davison, recipient of the Suncook
Valley Pomona Grange Public Service Award presented on May 12 at
the Chichester Grange Hall. Carolee’s many years of service to
the Town of Chichester, the Chichester Library, her church, and
the Grange attest to the fact that she is a true public servant.
Fifteen members of her family were present at the meeting to
support her.

Letter
I would like to congratulate all of the recipients of
the Chichester Grange Community Awards. Upon reading the article
in today’s “Sun” I am reminded of how many wonderful people are
doing so much good in our community!
I do have to add my
specific support for the Mara family as recipients of the
Community Citizen Award. On October 9 of this past year, when I
was unexpectedly hit head-on while driving home from work, it
was the Maras who immediately called 911 and Kate Mara was one
of the first to appear on the scene. I was screaming for someone
to call my husband and Kate identified herself, calmed me down
and assured me that she was dialing Doug. A few days
later, she came to see me in the hospital to make sure I really
was OK. This is just one, of what I am sure, are many examples
of random kindness, on the part of the Mara family. I will be
sitting watching our school’s production of Willy Wonka this
weekend and in a large part I am there as a result of the Maras.
Respectfully yours,
Representative Sally Kelly
