The Chichester Town Pantry is in need of toilet paper and laundry/dish detergents.  Donations are gratefully accepted.

The Library is having an Easter Raffle, which will be fun for all.  There are also pictures to be colored by the young and the young at heart.  Drop in, the Library is always a fun and interesting place to be.

Happy Birthday to Avonne Jarvis on April 1st.

The Chichester Library’s April Art Exhibit will be supplied by the children at Chichester Central School.  There will be a reception on Friday, April 1st, at 6:30 p.m. at the Library for everyone to see their remarkable work.

The March Art Exhibit is Quilted Scenes by Mrs. Karen Thurber of Canterbury. These quilted scenes are absolutely beautiful and you can tell that hours and hours have been spent on every scene.  Don’t miss the monthly art exhibits held by your town library.

Chichester Grange will meet on Wednesday, April 6, upstairs in the Grange Hall. The evening will begin with a Lasagna Supper at 6 p.m. at a cost of $5 per person. The money will be donated to the various State Grange Youth Funds. A meeting will follow the supper at approximately 7 p.m.

The Chichester Library is going to start their book sale on April 9th, from 8 to 1.  There will be an Open House on that same day in the Library from 9 to 12.  The dates for the rest of the book sales are: May 7th, June 4th, July 9th, August 13th, September 17th, and October 15th.   All sales are from 8 to 1, rain or shine.  Take home a bag of enjoyment. See you soon!

This workshop is for anyone considering or already raising chickens for meat in their backyard.

Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted By Carol Hendee

If you have access to the internet, whether it be from your computer or one you can use at your local library, please take a look at the website for BabyThreads of NH.  It has information on what we did last year (totaling almost $90,000 in just clothing items given to the deserving); info on how we are a 501c3 organization and your donations are tax deductible.  Just ask for a donation form, record the items, and we will sign for your records.

Remember, Out of Your Attic Thrift stores are the fund raising “arms” for Baby Threads of NH.   You will see items needed for March include yarn, gently used towels, diapers, sleeping bags for children going to camp, new toys and stocking stuffers for Christmas 2011 (it’s never too early to start collecting items).  Please remember Thurs., March 31st is our End of March 1/2 price day!

We are at 345 Suncook Valley Hwy, Chichester, Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4.

Chichester Library News

The walls of the library, in April, will be covered with art from the children in Chichester who have attended  the Currier Museum’s Spring Outreach session at the Chichester Central School. Kristi Nyhan has been working with the children the whole month of March.  She used original artwork owned by the museum to inspire and teach her students. Drop in and see how wonderfully creative our children can be. We will be having an artists’ reception on Friday, April 1st, from 6:30 to 8:30.  Light refreshments will be served, drop in for a fun evening.

We are raffling off an Easter Basket at the library from now until Saturday, April 22nd. You get one ticket for every book you read. Just come in and tell us the book you read and sign your name to a raffle ticket.  The more books you read, the better your chance of winning.

Our annual Ukrainian Egg workshop will be on Wednesday, April 6th. Space is limited so sign up soon.

Call Lisa at 798-5613.
