Out Of
Your Attic Thrift Shop News Submitted By Carol Hendee
Earth
Day is Friday, April 22nd. There will be a lot of talk and
press about recycling, reusing and keeping the earth safe.
What better way to do your part than by bringing “stuff” you no
longer use to the Attic! Most likely it will be resold and
reused by someone who really wants it.
Items that do not
sell, go to the North Country where they will be given out
free on our Days of Caring to people who truly are in need. We
even have a resource that takes our scrap metal and we receive money
to help Baby Threads.
We can take small metal items, like
pots and pans that are not usable and turn them into cash. We
will gladly accept your plastic grocery bags and brown paper bags.
If you’re on your way to the dump and think you have some “stuff”
that can be reused, stop at 345 Suncook Valley Hwy, Chichester
(yellow building) and we can see if it can be reused. We’re
open Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4.

Boat
Registrations Spring Is Coming!
Its springtime and time to
acquire a certificate of registration for your boat to operate your
vessel legally on public waters in NH. This includes
motorboats of any size including those with electric motors and
sailboats 12 feet in length or longer. Non-motorized vessels
such as canoes and kayaks are exempt from being registered.
Your
certificate of registration expires on December 31st of each year.
Owners of vessels that have been registered previously will be sent
a renewal notice.
A valid safe boating education certificate is
required by any person 16 years and older to operate a powerboat
with an engine in excess of 25 horsepower.
Where can you register
your boat? One way to get the certificate of registration and
validation decals is by submitting the proper application (renewal
notice) and fee to any authorized boat agent. The Chichester
Town Clerk office has been an authorized boat agent since 2005 and
can register boats for anyone in NH, you do not have to be a
resident of Chichester.
