The Chichester Town Library invites you to Family Game Night on
Wednesday, Feb. 29th at 6:30 pm. We will have games and popcorn here
at the library, but you are welcome to bring your own games as well
as snacks to eat.
Local Youth Services Benefit Magic Show, by renowned "Frates
Creations", at the Epsom Fire Station 2/26 at 2 pm. Sponsored by the
Epsom-Chichester Lions and Fire Aux.
Admission by donation. Refreshments served. Call 736-9942 for more
information.
Take out your March calendars, please, and make a correction. The
Chichester School District Meeting will be held on Saturday, March
10, Voting Day for Town and School District officials will be
Tuesday, March 13, and Town Meeting will be Saturday, March 17.
These meetings are very import if you want to keep up with what is
going on with the budget, the roads, the vehicles, the classrooms,
and other Town and School District matters. If you don’t have the
time to attend public hearings and other evening meetings, make the
time to attend these annual events.
What is a Penny Sale? It is a cross between a yard sale and a
raffle. At the Grange/Town Hall on Saturday, March 31st, you will be
able to see for yourself as Chichester Grange attempts to raise some
funds for its community service projects and provide some fun and
excitement for the "customers." More details will follow.
If you want to avoid a late fee, this is the week to register your
child for T-Ball, Baseball, and Softball. The CYA is accepting
registrations for this coming season. The deadline is February 29th
but registrations will be accepted up to March 12th with a late fee.
If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall,
they are eligible to play T-Ball this spring. This is a great
opportunity for the children to get to know others with whom they
will be going to school. Registration forms are available at
www.chichesteryouth.com
Please take this opportunity to get them in ASAP so that teams can
be organized and equipment purchased.
Happy birthday to Abigail McIntosh on February 27th.
Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News

Don’t believe winter is gone! According to the Farmer’s Almanac,
there’s a big storm coming on February 23-29, so be prepared. All
winter items; coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, and mittens will
be half price through the end of the month. Please remember, we may
not be able to get to the store if it is snowing, so call 247-7191
to see if we are open.
We could use a jewelry box, if you have a spare. Sad to say, but
items have been disappearing from the jewelry display and it would
be better if we had a box to watch over. Remember, if you need
something very badly, just ask and we will give it to you under the
charitable giving program.
We have some small furniture items; a kitchen set, a coffee table,
and two end tables for sale.
Come see us for some of the best prices in the area; $1.00 tops;
$2.00 jeans; knick knacks starting at $.25 and baby items starting
at $.50.
We’re on Route 28 north from Epsom and are open Mon. 8-12, Tues.
8-4, Wed. 11-4, Thurs. 8-4 and Sat. 10-4. Cash only please.
Your Chichester Library & The Internet
Submitted By The Chichester Library Trustees
This is the 3rd article about the value of the Chichester Library.
You can e-mail your librarian, Lisa Prizio, anytime at
[email protected].
You can ask if a certain book, DVD or periodical is available
without having to drive to the library. If it is not in, Lisa will
order it through the inter-library loan program and notify you when
it is in. You can also call 798-5613.
You can have access to the NHewlink with the library password, at
the library or from home. Stop in and pickup the bulletin explaining
the websites, which includes NewsBank (gives you the Concord
Monitor, Union Leader, EBSCO, and Heritage Quest, if you are
interested in researching ancestry.) WiFi and free downloadable
books are also available with the library password. Some of the
links from the Library section on the town website include New Books
in 2012, E-Book Help, NH Downloadable Books and the calendar for the
month for library activities. Currently the on-line library catalog
is down and we are working to have it restored.
Please stop by for a visit on Mon. and Wed. 2:30-8:30, Tues. and
Thurs. 10-1:30, Fri. 1:30-4:30 and Sat. 9-12. NH Unemployment Dept.
suggests people check the jobs available on the internet and we
offer 3 computers for you to do your job search.
