Does anyone have an idea for a theme for Chichester Old Home Day 2014? The theme is used in decorating floats for the parade and sometimes to suggest events at Carpenter Park. Contact Hannah West at 798-5783 or [email protected]. You may also contact any other member of the Old Home Day Committee. The committee would like to set a theme at their October meeting.

Happy Birthday to Skip Jarvis and Colby Despres on October 8 and Brianne Stone and Camdyn Despres on October 9.

Plans are being made for Trunk or Treating in Chichester at Carpenter Park on Sunday, October 27, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The Old Home Day Committee will meet on Thursday, October 10, at 7 p.m. at the Fire Station. The agenda includes setting a theme for Old Home Day 2014 and firming up plans for Trunk or Treating on October 27.

Chichester Town Library News

Friday, October 4th, 7-9 p.m. at the Grange, 54 Main St., is a truly special event for Chichester.  John Bruno, from Public TV’s “Market Warriors,” will be on site for appraisals in a program of “Know Your Antiques.”  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to allow for persons to receive their number in line.   Appraisals are limited to a total of 85; therefore, there will only be one item allowed per person.  If there is enough time to permit additional appraisals, a second one for those in attendance may be accommodated.  Coins, paper money, stamps, and precious stones & jewelry will not be appraised.  This program is being underwritten through the efforts of the Lovers of the Chichester Town Library; however, donations will be accepted.

Saturday, October 5th, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., is the “Down Under” Book Sale at the Town Library.
