The Library is pleased to feature the talented Amaranthia Sepia Gittens-Jones, also known as “AmaSepiaChan,” as the December artist.  At the age of fourteen, she has already started to make a difference, donating proceeds of art sales to a number of charitable efforts to help others.  Some of the recipients of her talent and generosity have included:  victims of the Tsunami and earthquake in Japan; the “Rachel Sweet Campaign” to support Rachel in getting a double lung transplant;

Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation” to raise money for a victim of Battens Disease; and, to “Crossing Cultures,” a program that sends students from the United States to travel to Senegal and immerse them in the Senegalese culture.  She has also designed an anti-bullying project, “Do You Know Who I Am?” which can be viewed at http:iamproudofwhoiam.com.  Her abilities have earned her a full scholarship to the Kimball Art School.  Already focusing on the future, AmaSepiaChan would like to attend college for studies in graphic arts, focusing on comic books and inking.  Come in to the Library to experience some of the visions of this amazing artist.
