Chichester Town Library News

Preschool Story and Craft Hour will be meeting tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.

This Friday’s “Star Wars” movie is “Revenge of the Sith,” at 6 p.m. at the Chichester Central School, 219 Main Street.  Participants will be doing some cooking along with enjoying the movie.  Also, because of the Library closure for Thanksgiving and the following Friday, the next movie will be on Tuesday, November 24th.  “A New Hope” will be accompanied by a Lego activity.   All fans are welcome, but children under the age of six must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  If there are questions, or if any adults would like to volunteer to help, please contact Kate Dockham at [email protected] or Lisa Prizio at the Library at 798-5613 or [email protected].

The last Used Book Sale will be this Saturday, November 21st, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.  As might be expected, this sale will have a holiday theme.  It’s a great way to provide some gifts on a budget!

There will also be a Featured Artists’ Reception on November 21st, from 10-noon, for the members of the Chichester Photography Group who have had their works on display this month.

The Chichester Photo Group meets on Monday, November 23rd at 7 p.m.

The Down Cellar Writers’ Group will also be meeting on November 23rd at 7 p.m.

The Library will be closed on from Thursday through Saturday, November 26th through 28th, for Thanksgiving.  We wish everyone a delightful and safe holiday!

Watch for the presence of winter-themed coloring books at the Library, along with crayons and colored pencils.  December 1-19 will feature a holiday coloring program for young people up to 12 years of age.  The results of their efforts will be hung around the Library to help decorate for the season, and a candy cane will be provided to each participant.

Don’t forget the presentation by the Pontine Theatre of “A New England Christmas” on Saturday, December 5th, at the Grange at 1 p.m.
