The Annual Yard Sale at the Chichester Historical Society is less
than a month away. It is set for June 6 , and they are accepting
donations of items to sell. Call 798-5709 for information.
Chichester Grange will meet on Wednesday, May 20, at 7 p.m. upstairs
in the Grange Hall.
Kevin Belval is in charge of the program, and Hannah West is in
charge of refreshments.

On Saturday, May 30, at 2 p.m. Chichester Grange will sponsor a
Memorial Day celebration at the Town Hall on 54 Main Street. It
will begin inside the hall to maximize acoustics and prevent sunburn
and end outside with the placing of a wreath in front of the
Veterans Memorial Stone. This ceremony is held on the traditional
Memorial Day to minimize conflict with observances in neighboring
towns on May 25.

New Hair Studio Opens In Chichester
There is a new hair studio in town! Trilogy Hair Studio has
relocated from Main street in Concord, to Chichester Commons on
Dover Road.
Justine Hayward and Gina Rogers have co-owned Trilogy for the past 3
years, and we both have over a decade of experience in the industry.
Whether you need just a trim or a bright new color, Trilogy offers
it all! Waxing and manicures are offered as well. While Trilogy is
now up and running, there will be an official grand opening party on
Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th during normal business
hours. At this time there will be raffles, giveaways, and
refreshments throughout the day. If you haven’t already, please take
a moment to stop on in and check it out!

Chichester Town Library News
Kayla Chagnon, our Library Aide, has accepted a position at the
Jesup Memorial Library in Bar Harbor, ME. We wish her the best and
express our appreciation for all that she did for our library. If
anyone visits in the area, stop by the library to say hello to
Kayla.
Thursday, May 14th at 10:30 a.m. is the story, music and crafts for
preschoolers. This hour-long program even includes a snack, so make
sure you come to enjoy some time with your young ones.
The major fundraiser for the Library is the annual Plant Sale/Used
Book Sale, which is on May 16th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This should
help ensure easier planting for all. This special sale has helped
many residents to beautify their yards and gardens while also
helping out the Library’s budgeting for special programs, technology
and small emergencies that arise. Thanks are extended to Millican
Nurseries, as they continue to support their town and library by
supporting this sale.
Monday, May 18th, at 7 p.m. is the meeting for the Lovers of the
Chichester Library. If you want to be involved in planning programs
and assisting at the various activities of the Library, please come.
This is a public meeting.
Don’t forget to complete the survey that was distributed last week
and return it to the Library. Your input will help ensure the
Library reflects your vision of what you would like and/or expect it
to be.
Obituaries
Richard F. Dietlein
Chichester – Mr. Richard F. Dietlein, 78, of
Highland Drive, died Monday, May 4th, 2015, at the Concord Hospital.
Born in Manchester on August 16th, 1936, Richard was the son of the
late George and Irma (Poehlman) Dietlein. As a youngster he enjoyed
being a member of the Boy Scouts while growing up on Manchester’s
west side. He graduated from Manchester West High School in 1954.
He served as a survival specialist in the US Air Force from 1954 to
1958. He worked for the local Electric Company in Lake Charles, LA
and after his return to NH for the Public Service Company of NH in
the Hooksett office until his retirement in 1991.
Richard enjoyed tinkering with cars and was given the gift and
passion of engineering & repurposing any and all items into useful
gadgets.
He is survived by 4 children, Deborah Ann Foch of Upper Marlboro,
MD, David Karl Dietlein of Woodbridge, VA, Donna Susan Wilson of
Columbia, CT, and Darrel Richard Dietlein of Franconia; 11
grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 13
step-great grandchildren; 1 niece and 3 nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Diana
Dietlein, and his sister, Carol Frechette.
A special time of sharing among family and friends took place
Saturday, May 9th at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home in
Epsom.
