The Chichester Historical Society will be cancelling the September
12th program on the History of the Chichester Congregational Church
due to water and plumbing problems at the Historical Society Museum.
Hopefully, the problem can be solved and regular programming can
resume soon.

When you are at the shop, take a moment to explore “the third room.”
There are curtains, men’s shoes, baby clothes and accessories, a
shelf of glassware, vases, ladies dresses, hoodies and jackets, and
a shelf of ever-changing items (sports equipment, planters, etc.)
For the week of Sept. 6 through Sept. 10th, everything in the 3rd
room will be 1/2 price!
We can use donations of blankets. Our
sister shop in Colebrook is in need of fall and winter items,
especially blankets.
We are located on Rte. 28, across from Dominick’s in Chichester.
Open Mon. 8-12; Tues. & Thurs. 8-4; Wed. 11-4 & Sat. 10-4.

Public Library News
School has started, but the library continues to be a vibrant part
of the community. It serves as the heart of the Town, planning
activities for young people, adults and an aging population.
Want to get out and do something? Check with the library!
If there’s something not available in which you are interested, let
Lisa know and she, the Trustees and the Lovers of the Chichester
Library may take it under advisement to help make it happen.
The book chosen for next month’s Book Club is The Ginger Tree, by
Oswald Wynd. It looks like an interesting read!
It may be too late to participate, but it should be noted that there
is a bread basket “class” happening at the library. Call
798-5613, just in case there is still room.
There’s a “Video Game Tournament” on Friday, September 9th at 7:00
p.m. at the library. Participants can decide whether or not
they want to play “Smash Brothers” or “Mario Kart 8.” Please
call the library, e-mail at [email protected] or stop
by to sign up.
The Library Trustees’ will meet on Monday, September 12th, at 6 p.m.
This meeting is open to all Chichester residents.
The Chichester Photo Group will also meet
on Monday, but at 6:30 p.m.
