Chichester Town Library News

The Evening Book Club will be meeting on tonight at 7 p.m.

Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. is the last meeting of the Preschool Story Hour until Fall.  Thanks to all the parents and kids who have made it a very special time.

It’s finally here!  The Open House for the new addition is this Saturday, June 17th, from 9 a.m.-12 noon.  The planning and building of the addition has taken a lot of effort. Appreciation and acknowledgement are due to many, but particularly to Shirley Waters who remembered the library in her estate planning.  The broader community of Chichester is already being better served with this addition.  Please come see it and participate in the unveiling of the plaque to Shirley for her thoughtfulness. Refreshments will be available.

Also on June 17th will be the monthly Down Under Used Book Sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.    With Father’s Day being the day after, this is a perfect time to pick up that perfect gift for dad.

June 19th at 7 p.m. is the meeting of the Lovers of the Chichester Library.  New members are encouraged and welcomed to attend.

June 19th is also the start of the sign-up for the Summer Reading Program (SRP).  This program goes through the summer, until August 19th, and is always a fun time for the participants, with special events and activities planned throughout summer vacation.

There will another basket-making class on June 28th.  The project will be a basket that is the size of a standard tissue box.  Reservations are necessary and there is a small fee for materials.  Call Lisa at 798-5613 to your place.
