There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive  held on Tuesday, January 13th at the Pittsfield Elementary School on Bow Street from 3 to 8 p.m. sponsored by the local Parent Teacher’s Organization. Child care will be provided.

The Red Cross is offering a special this month - “Give A Pint - Get A Pound” of free Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee when you help save lives by donating blood. The need is constant - the gratification is instant! Please consider coming and giving blood at a time of year when needs are generally high and the supplies are often low. In the new year “Be A Cheerful Giver.”

Interested in Meditation? Come join us on January 14 at 7:00 PM at the Epsom Library for a guided journey. We will look into letting go of the old and allowing room for the new. Bring a blanket and a pillow and wear comfortable clothes. This class will be lead by Fran Nash.

This is an event you don’t want to miss so bring your supplies and enjoy an afternoon of scrap booking and meeting new friends. Food and beverages will be included in the $7.00 fee.

Story Time continues on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. The children listen to stories, sing songs and enjoy simple crafts. Toddler time is on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 10-7 and Saturday, 9-1.

Boy Scouts Ice Rink Benefit Breakfast By The Lions

The Epsom - Chichester Lions Club has a mission to benefit the youth of the area. Because of our interest in promoting youth projects, we will be having a Benefit Breakfast   January 17, 2009, at the American Legion Hall on Short Falls Road in Epsom, off Route 28 South of the Epsom Circle, to raise funds for an Ice Rink the Boy Scouts are planning to build at Webster Park. The American Legion sponsors the Boy Scouts in Epsom and has generously donated use of the facility.

We will have the usual great menu of bacon, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, potatoes, baked beans, juice and coffee.

The breakfast will  start at 7:30 a.m. and continue until 10 a.m. The cost will be your donation to the Boy Scouts Ice Rink that will be built in Webster Park by the Scouts themselves. The need is for $5000 to complete the project. All your donations will be for the project.

With the current economy, any local area that provides fun and exercise for our children, as well as adults, is a big bonus.

Please join us on January 17th and help the Boy Scouts with this project.

Questions, please call Judi at 736-9942
