Concord/Epsom Elks Lodge 1210 Supports The Troops
Care Package Coordinator JoAnne Schottler and John Johnson
Chairman of the NH Pease Greeters origination received a donation
recently from Micheal Dempsey Veterans Coordinator for Concord/Epsom
Elks Lodge 1210 and President of the White Mountain Chapter of the
Nam Knights Motorcycle Club. The Donation was made while welcoming
home a flight full of 10th Mountain Division personnel returning
from Iraq on their way to Fort Drum NY.
The Pease Greeters meet and greet troops who are arriving or
departing to overseas tours at the Pease International Airport. They
collect names and address of troops and follow up with care packages
while the troops are deployed. The arrivals and departures are very
emotional for the troops and the volunteers. According to Dempsey,
“Every citizen should attend one of these flights at least once”
attending one will renew your sense of patriotism and faith that
America is in very good hands. If you wish to sponsor a $12.00
package to the troops you can find out more about the Pease Greeters
at
http://www.peasegreeters.org/ . Or contact Micheal Dempsey
Veterans Coordinator at the Concord/Epsom Elks Lodge 603-736-8941.
