To all Voters
This Mid Term Election on Nov. 2, 2010 is one of
the most important elections that any of the voters of this time
have ever participated in. We have a chance to start reclaiming our
country. Our career Politicians are either selling us down the river
or allowing it to happen by rubber stamping any thing that
Washington wants to do. We have to put people in office that will
govern us by following The Constitution of The United States. I feel
that can be accomplished by voting out all of the Democrats and all
of the incumbent Republicans. That’s just for starters.
Then we
have to let all of the office holders know that we, the Voters,
insist on term limits for all offices. Also Lobbyists have to be
curbed or abolished completely. This country cannot survive without
a thorough cleaning of Washington, and that will take a lot of
scrubbing. We all know that this undertaking cannot happen over
night but by following this formula election after election we will
cleanse Washington. We need new blood, new ideas and new directions
for this Country. With a population of over three hundred million in
this land we the people can, by our votes, find enough new blood to
run this country. We have to find a new way to pick our candidates
for office and not leave it up to the bosses of both major parties.
For all you would be politicians out there it might be a good idea
to start an Independent party.
Whether you agree with me or not,
Please get out and vote NOV. 2, 2010.

State Police Troopers Can Help The Needy
In brief and in part,
the overtime and private details facilitates the movement of
vehicular and pedestrian traffic or described in other documents as:
“directing traffic around.“ Records show the state charges
the contractors $70.00 per hour which is broken down to things such
as use of cruiser, retirement, uniform, cleaning costs, etc.
My sole
point in sharing this article is not to bash the troopers rather to open the
eyes of the Governor. In 2008 construction details reached 39,000 hours
which brought in 2.58 million dollars. Imagine what this kind of money
could do to help those who have lost a job, a home, etc. They need it now.
Think of it, 7 men or 7 women at $10.00 per hour to accomplish the same job
and save a life / family.

Out Of
Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted by Carol Hendee
The
Shop looks a bit different. The “X” room is gone. That
room is now filled with winter coats, hats, boots, seasonal
equipment and Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and housewares.
We intend to keep filling it with larger items that we previously
had no space to set out for sale. This will give you more
merchandise to choose from. If you check Baby Threads web
site-Monthly report- May-August 2010, you will see the work in
progress, which included 192 hats, scarves, gloves and mittens
distributed to those in need. Also provided were 2 comfort
kits, 32 blankets, afghans, quilts, 22 large comforters, 1 sewing
machine and 30 hygiene kits, just to mention a few items. Help
us continue the good work. We are at 345 Suncook Valley
Highway, Chichester, 8-4 Tues. and Thurs, 11-4 Wed. and 10-4
Saturday.

To The Editor
Dear Mr. Editor:
I ask my fellow citizens of
Epsom, Allenstown and Pittsfield to cast a vote for Tony Soltani,
for State Representative on November 2, 2010.
I have had the
opportunity to work with Tony for several years in my various
capacities serving the people of Epsom. I know by first hand
knowledge that his objectives and loyalties mirror that of my own.
Namely, putting the interest of the people whom we serve first.
Like myself, Tony is a believer in the philosophy that we are
elected to serve the people and not the other way around.
If there is a way to save the Town funds, Tony will find it.
As a
volunteer, he has served on many Town Boards and Committees.
He does not back away from a fight where the interest of his
constituents are concerned, as he well demonstrated while serving
four terms on the House Judiciary Committee, before he fell ill.
He has now fought his way back to health and is ready to represent
us again.
He is not beholden to any lobbyists, interest groups or
any party bosses. He does simply what he believes to be right
and in the best interest of the State, regardless of external
pressures.
I will be voting for Tony Soltani as our State
Representative and ask you to join me in sending a voice for common
sense and reason on our behalf to Concord on November 2, 2010.
WE NEED TONY BACK NOW.
Very truly yours,
Robert Blodgett

To my constituents in Allenstown, Epsom, & Pittsfield:
Wednesday
was the final session of this legislature, as we resolved Governor’s
vetoes. None was overturned, although HB1161, repealing local
handgun sales licenses, passed the House but failed in the Senate. A
motion to suspend the rules and consider an amendment to SB500,
extending parole criteria, failed 143-193. I voted for it, but on
further thought regret it. The amendment would have fixed the
current hot issues, but since it had no public hearing and no chance
for most Representatives to read or study it, would probably have
unintended consequences. I expect legislation on this issue to be a
major concern for the next session.
My committee met this week to
conclude six bills, recommending all for further legislative action.
HB42, a state meat inspection program, and HB1631, on the building
code/fire code interaction, have bills already submitted. HB218, on
the state park fund, and SB414, on the Mount Washington Commission,
had revealed a confusing morass of different funds, overlapping
authority, and multiple programs that were created at different
times and never coordinated. The committee on these two bills was
unsure of the best fix, but agreed that action is required. That was
also the conclusion on HB1593, regulation of dental hygienists:
there are at least two contradictory bills being submitted! Finally,
HB1576, on retirees actively serving in pensionable positions, was
hotly debated. Everyone agreed that it is inappropriate to retire,
then immediately return to the same position, either full or part
time; the problem is people going to different positions. For
example, county taxpayers save with sheriffs or jail chiefs who are
retired police; many state officials only accept short term
political appointments because they are also collecting a pension.
Anyone interested in what’s going on at the State House is invited
to email or call me; those who’d like a more detailed report than I
can fit in The Sun should email me for my newsletter.

To The Editor
Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter to express
my steadfast support of New Hampshire State Representative candidate
Tony Soltani.
In expressing my support, I acknowledge that no two
people will ever see eye to eye on every political issue. That
is simply an inherent characteristic of politics and people in
general (with all our various perspectives and passions).
However, even when it comes to that point where the only thing left
is to agree to disagree, Tony Soltani is one of a select few people,
if not the only one, that I know who will actually use his position
as state representative to be a voice for the people and to
ultimately do what he feels, in his heart, is the best thing for New
Hampshire and the people of New Hampshire.
In that sense, Tony is
perhaps somewhat anti-political. He is not the baby kissing,
hand shaking type. He is not the expensive suit wearing type.
He is the get the job done type. Tony Soltani is the do what
is right type. After knowing Tony for 24 years, I know that he
will bring all his various experience into the State House. I
know that he will work tirelessly to ensure that integrity, reason,
and the common good are the driving forces behind our New Hampshire
state government.
There is no question that Tony will be getting
my vote on November 2, 2010; and I ask that you and your readers
answer the call by supporting Tony Soltani.
Sincerely,
Douglas

To The Editor
Dear Editor:
I write in support of Tony Soltani,
candidate for New Hampshire State Representative.
Our state
constitution establishes that government originates from the people
and is instituted for the general good. It further recognizes
that the people “have certain natural, essential, and inherent
rights.”
I have known Tony for 22 years, and I know that Tony
holds his country’s and his state’s founding documents dear.
As a fellow veteran, Tony has defended the constitutions and people
of his country and his state in both war and peace time. As a
representative in the State House, he carries out his duties with
the people - with his constituents - in mind. He makes it his
mission to ensure that the guaranteed rights of every New Hampshire
citizen are given true meaning, to protect our interests, and to
promote the general good.
I know in my heart that if Tony is once
again granted the honor and privilege of serving New Hampshire and
her citizens in the State House, he will do everything in his power
to honor and defend our constitution, to look out for his
constituents and all New Hampshire citizens, and, in a word, to do
the right thing for the state and the people.
I will be voting
for Tony Soltani on November 2, 2010 and ask that you and your
readers give him your votes as well.
Sincerely,
Roland Lafleur
