Letter
To The Editor
Dear Mr. Editor: I want to express my deepest
gratitude to all the voters who came out on November 2, 2010 to cast
their ballots. I thank each and every one of them regardless of for
whom they may have voted.
During my travels to Allenstown,
Pittsfield and Epsom, I enjoyed meeting the people at the polls and
the neighborly affection at the polls which they showed for every
person who had placed their name on the ballot to serve their state
and community. My supporters tried to hand out the American flag to
each voter as a token of our appreciation for their exercise of this
sacred and constitutional right.
It is now up to the voters to
keep a close eye on myself, John Richardson, Dan McGuire and Carol
McGuire. The voters must hold our feet to the fire of our ward. You
will see periodic reports or missives to the editors of these
publications from each of us.
We may divide the work based on the
topics or the volume of the news at the general court.
Again, I
thank all of my neighbors and friends in the three towns which
constitute the Merrimack 8th District.
Very truly yours, Tony
F. Soltani Epsom, NH
New Rye
Church Anniversary Event
On Sunday, November 21st, New Rye
Congregational Church in Epsom will continue its year-long
celebration of its 250th Anniversary with an event that focuses on
the history of the stained glass windows of the church.
The
windows are over 100 years old and were donated in memory of loved
ones by then-members of the church. Descendants of those families
will be invited to the service and Phillip Yeaton, vice-president of
the Epsom Historical Society, will provide an historical background
on each window. The religious symbols on the windows will also be
discussed.
The service will begin at 10 a.m. and special
refreshments will be provided during the fellowship/coffee hour
after the service. The public is cordially invited to attend.
For more information or directions, please contact Rev. James Young
at 736-9279 (evenings are best).
