Romancing The Tintype At Epsom Public Library

The Epsom Public Library is pleased to host artist/photographer Edie Weiler’s  “Romancing the Tintype,” an exhibit of contemporary tintypes created through the 19th century wet plate collodion photographic process.  This striking and fascinating exhibit features images of over thirty fellow artists, family members and friends of the photographer.  It is the culmination of several years’ worth of study and experimentation and is proud testimony to the artist’s dedication to reviving this lost art as a viable 21st century art form.

The exhibit runs through January 3, and may be viewed during regular library hours: Monday – Thursday, 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm.  For more information, call 736-9920 or visit www.epsomlibrary.com.

Epsom Food Pantry

Good day one and all.  As you can well imagine, this past week has been busy.  Saturday was our distribution day for the Thanksgiving Baskets and all went well.  Between the well-filled boxes and a choice of pumpkin, cherry or blueberry pie and then a nice fat turkey to round it all off.  Super!  I just want to thank all the volunteers who stepped forward and helped out. I know Ken and Liz appreciated all their efforts to make this run smoothly, as it was a big undertaking and of course we are all “newbies” at this. I think it went pretty smoothly.

Now we are off and running for Santa’s day.  All applications are being hand carried to Chennel Drive to assure us that our members will all get a nice basket.  Read your white sheet that tells you about the pickup and date. I too will put up notices around town. Now the members at Meadow Brook will have theirs brought right to the facility, and all will be delivered to each and every one. The rest of our membership will have to pick up at the Town Hall as you did for Thanksgiving.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 219-3025 and I will help you out.

Until next time,

Priscilla
