If you have a child under 3 or are pregnant, Early Head Start will have openings soon! Fun activities, information, support, and learning experiences are provided through home visiting and play groups. Free for income eligible families. Call us at 435-6611 to jump start your child’s learning.

 


 

If you have a 3 or 4 year old child, Head Start has openings for the fall! We are a 5 day a week preschool program that provides lots of fun and learning to prepare your child for kindergarten. Breakfast and lunch are included. Free for income eligible families. Please call Susan Ireland at 225-3295 for more information.

 


 

Movie matinees continue at the Epsom Public Library on Wednesday, August 10 at 1:30 with the showing of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2”.  In this hilarious sequel to the 2002 film, the Portokalos, while spending most of their time focusing on their troublesome teenage daughter, are facing marital problems while also having to deal with yet another Greek wedding – this time, even bigger and fatter.

 


 

Save the date of August 16, a Tuesday, at 7:00 PM when Ramblin Richard will present his “Beloved American Songs and their Amazing Stories.”  A relaxing and fun evening of music.

 


 

The Epsom Public Library is pleased to host “Lindsay and her Puppet Pals” at Epsom Old Home Day, Saturday, August 13th at 2:30pm at the Bandstand!  Join this great fun event for all ages. Lindsay brings her larger than life Puppet Pals to child and family audiences.  Filled with silliness, active audience engagement, and unique, memorable characters, this series of charming short stories will delight the young and the young at heart!

 


 

Saturday, August 13th is Epsom’s Old Home Day!  The Friends of the Epsom Library continue their tradition of home made cookies and our ice cold lemonade sale!  Please stop by the Friends of the Library Lemonade Stand during your time at the Old Home Day celebrations.  Local non profits as well as businesses will be there and as always the celebration begins with our fabulous parade @ 10:00am and patriotic opening ceremony.   The Lemonade Stand has been a long fund raising tradition of our Friends group and our biggest fund raiser the Annual Mums Sale has begun too!  If you haven’t gotten a chance to order your mums, then stop by the stand to place your order!  Giant Healthy mums locally grown!  $8 each or 5 for $35!  Red, White, Yellow, Bronze or Lavender!  We appreciate your support!  See you at Old Home Day!

 


 

Congratulations to Jaime M. Hodgdon of Epsom who has been selected for inclusion on the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Spring 2016 semester at St. Lawrence University.

 

Hodgdon is a member of the Class of 2017 and is majoring in biology and business in the liberal arts . She attended Tilton School.

 

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Epsom Public Library Youth Events

 

Wednesday, August 3rd at 1pm: “Clay Vehicles” Art Class with instructor, Kerry Harman. Bring a smock or old shirt. Registration is required as space is limited. Materials fee is $10.00. Sign up at the circulation desk.

 

Monday, August 8th at 1pm: “Summer Crafts” Fun afternoon of summer themed crafts including sand art. Snack included. Sign up at the circulation class.

 

Wednesday, August 10th 6:30pm: “Youth Summer Reading Program Finale” with storyteller, Simon Brooks. Join us for the fun as we celebrate all our summer readers! Includes refreshments! Registration is required for this event. Sign up at the circulation desk.
