Letter To The Editor

The Roof On The Kelley School House Looks Great!

On behalf of the Lower Gilmanton Community Club, I want to thank all the folks who donated money, volunteered time and the food to  feed all the volunteers. The donations were almost enough to cover the cost, helping the Club immensely. The shade of green shingles blend into the area.

The volunteers were Sean Mulcahy and Peter Mulcahy, his dad: Lance Reinholz, Rob and Laurie Baldwin and family; Phil and Marilyn Ray; John and Laurie Hagen; Jim Locke; Dave Waterman and his helper; Robert and Missy Potter and family, Bob and Nancy Potter; Mary Morse and Bea Boudette. I apologize if I missed anyone.

A special thank you to Larry and Norma Shields for the (new to us) refrigerator and electric stove, and delivery by John Provencal, Ken and Cole Witham. A great big thank you to Laurie Baldwin for cleaning the appliances and the whole kitchen.

The use of the Baldwin cooker served great to cook the hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings to feed all the hungry volunteers.

Again the Kelley School house roof looks great thanks to all of these great volunteers.

Michele MacBrien

Nancy Stock

Meredith Village Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotions of Nancy Stock, Jami Bourdeau and Michele MacBrien, who will be serving customers in the bank’s new Wolfeboro office when it opens at 66 Main Street. Although the promotions will be effective September 1, the new office will open at the end of September.

“I’m so pleased to have Nancy, Jami and Michele join me in Wolfeboro to get our new office off to a great start,” said Robyn Masteller, Regional Vice President and Manager of both the Alton and Wolfeboro MVSB offices. “It’s wonderful to have three outstanding staff members who have been a part of the MVSB team for awhile and who are also a part of the local community.”

A native of Brookfield, Stock will be promoted to supervisor of the Wolfeboro office. She is currently working in MVSB’s temporary office and serving as the Assistant Head Teller at the bank’s Alton office. Stock joined the MVSB team in March 2006 after leaving Holy Rosary Credit Union, where she was a service associate and loan officer.
Bourdeau is currently a Sales Associate at the Alton office and will serve as Assistant Head Teller II in Wolfeboro. A resident of Milton, Bourdeau worked at Holy Rosary Credit Union for 5 years before coming to MVSB in April 2006.

A Wolfeboro resident, MacBrien recently transferred from the bank’s lending department to the Wolfeboro temporary office at 18 Union Street as a Teller/CSR. MacBrien joined MVSB in January 2003 as a Mortgage Processor and was promoted to Loan Processing Generalist in 2004. Years before starting her full-time career at MVSB, MacBrien served as a student teller for the bank during the 1980’s.

Meredith Village Savings Bank is an independent mutual savings bank with 11 offices serving individuals, families, businesses, organizations and towns around Lake Winnipesaukee and the Plymouth area. MVSB has offices in Alton, Ashland, Gilford, Center Harbor, Laconia, Meredith, Moultonborough, Plymouth and Wolfeboro.
