GCC Thrift Shop Holiday News

The Holidays are here and the GCC Thrift Shop is having a 50% off sale just in time for your holiday shopping.  From now through December 21 anything in the Store with a red or green barb is half off.  Come on in and fulfill your holiday shopping needs.

We also sponsor Adopt-a-Child Program.  One could either adopt an entire family and purchase gifts, toys and clothing for that family, or adopt one child and buy gifts, toys and clothing.  Many people prefer to just buy one gift for a child and that is also an option.  If you wish to participate in this very worthwhile program, please contact Beth Lavin @ 267-1934 or Jane Sisti @ 364-7437.  If you prefer to buy just one gift, tags indicating a specific toy or article of clothing are available at the Thrift Shop or the Gilmanton Elementary School.  Along with this program the donations of wrapping paper and bows are greatly appreciated.

We will be providing Christmas baskets and some of the special things we are still collecting are peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, tuna, mayonnaise, cereal, juice, pineapple, sugar, and coffee.

Please do not forget our winter hours.  Wednesdays 3 – 7 pm and Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm.

Parking is available in the Gilmanton Iron Works Church parking lot.  Volunteers are needed and welcome.  Thank you to everyone who shops at the GCC Thrift Shop.  It is with your patronage that we are able to continue to carry out our programs.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Thank You!

It is with heartfelt gratitude that the GCC Food Pantry says Thank You to EVERYONE who made donations in any form during our recent food drives and requests.

We had many generous contributions from Grace Capital Church, Gilford and Gilmanton Schools, Gilmanton Gallopers 4-H Club, Gilmanton Boy Scouts Pack 242 who participated in the “Scouting For Food Program” and were assisted by the Cub Scouts who also collected and walked in the Pantry Walk held on October 6, 2013, as well as Wolcott Construction; to name a few.  To the many, many unnamed individuals, we are truly grateful – thank you.  We also want to thank our many Thrift Shop patrons whose purchases contribute to the success of the Food Pantry.  Thanks to all of you, over 30 families enjoyed a bountiful Thanksgiving meal which they might not have, had it not been for the generosity of one and all.

GCC Food Pantry & Thrift Shop Committee wishes you blessed and joyful holidays.
