Gilmanton Food Pantry & Thrift Shop News
As you may have noticed, the Gilmanton Food Pantry & Thrift Shop
building is receiving a face lift with new siding. This has
been made possible due to the popularity of the Gilmanton Thrift
Shop, through the sale of clothing and accessories, as well as those
of you who have sponsored and attended our past fundraising events.
Let us be clear, no money donated to the Food Pantry has been used
to pay for this siding. The success of our fundraising events,
the Thrift Shop, and all who frequent there has helped make it
possible to keep our Food Pantry shelves stocked and to maintain the
upkeep of the building.
The Gilmanton Food Pantry & Thrift Shop Committee cannot thank you
enough for your support. The Food Pantry strives to provide
supplemental assistance to those in the town of Gilmanton who may
need a helping hand. The Thrift Shop endeavors to make
available a variety of gently used clothing, shoes, boots and
accessories for a reasonable price. It is a win, win for
everybody.
The Gilmanton Food Pantry & Thrift Shop accepts donations of food
and money as well as gently worn clothing in good condition.
As stated above, all proceeds are used for the Food Pantry and its
various programs as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the
building.
Thank you each and
every one.

Summer Sizzle
The Gilmanton
Year-Round Library will be hosting its 4th annual Summer Sizzle on
Saturday June 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As in past years, events are scheduled that will appeal to all ages
and interest groups. Over a dozen local artisans, crafters and
growers will be selling their goods. In addition to vendors,
plants for the garden, a silent auction, raffles and the sale of
used books will be featured.
A local favorite, the Dump Run Gang will be providing live music
throughout the day. Face painting and games can be enjoyed by
the young – and the young at heart. For car lovers, antique
cars will be on display. Those with antique, modified and
unique vehicles are welcome to come and show-off their vehicles.
After shopping,
playing and viewing autos, stay for a barbeque lunch prepared by the
library volunteers. All proceeds from this event will be used to
benefit the operations of the Year-Round Library.
