Northwood Selectman James Hadley, left and Selectman Robert Holden,
right, present Joseph Knox with a plaque honoring him for his
service as Town Treasurer for the past 24 years. The plaque was
presented on March 12 Election Day. Voting was paused for the
presentation and those in attendance gave a round of applause, along
with their thanks. When presenting the plaque Selectmen Holden
brought attention to Mr. Knox’s ability to work with both the Town
and School District, noting that at no time during his tenure as
treasurer did the Town have to borrow money in anticipation of tax
revenue. Joe retired from the position last month, which allowed the
one year left on his term to be filled by his Deputy Treasurer Sandy
Priolo in last week’s election.
