Northwood Lake Watershed Annual Meeting Directors Needed

The Northwood Lake Watershed Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 18, 9:30 a.m. at the Northwood Town Beach. Rain - inside at the Northwood Town Hall.

Sara Steiner, Volunteer Lake Assessment Program Coordinator, New Hampshire Department of Environmental Sciences, will be the featured speaker. Sara has coordinated the NH Department of Environmental Services VLAP Program since 2007. Prior to that she coordinated the NH Department of Environmental Services’ Coastal and Freshwater Beach Programs and has been with the department for seven years. She will speak on “Results and Recommendations of the Volunteer lake Assessment Program.”

DIRECTORS NEEDED. Elections will be held at the meeting and directors from areas around the lake are needed. Directors represent their neighbors’ views at the NLWA meetings which are held once a month March to October. Your participation is very important. Representation from your neighborhood is needed to make good decisions for Northwood Lake.

The more eyes and ears we have around the lake, the more and better information the board has in making decisions about milfoil, water  quality, education and finances. Please consider becoming a Director.

Directors are needed from all areas of the lake, especially the SLEEPY HOLLOW, LAKE SITES, LAKE SHORE DRIVE and TASKER LANE neighborhoods.

President Jim Vaillancourt invites all persons interested in the water quality of Northwood Lake to attend. We’ll see you on the 18th!!
