"going" to Acapulco for Old Home Day. Special thanks to

August 12th Stroke and Osteoporosis Screening
Coming to Loudon
Residents living in and around the Loudon, NH.,
community can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke.
Life Line Screening Radiology will be at the Loudon American Legion
Post #88 on August 12th. The site is located at 55 S. Village Rd. in
Loudon. Appointments will begin at 10:00 a.m.
A stroke, also known as a "brain attack," is
ranked as the third leading killer in the world, and the second
among women. Through preventive screenings, the risk of having a
stroke can be greatly reduced.
Screenings are fast, painless and low cost. They
involve the use of ultrasound technology, and scan for potential
health problems related to: blocked arteries which can lead to a
stroke, aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta, and
hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a strong predictor
of heart disease. Also offered for men and women, is a bone density
screening to assess their risk for osteoporosis.
All four Screenings take less than an hour to
complete. The cost for a wellness package of all four screenings
including free osteoporosis screening is only $149.
Life Line Screening Radiology LLC is dedicated to
providing the highest quality imaging technology at an affordable
rate. Our goal is to make people aware of an undetected health
problem and encourage them to seek follow-up care with their
physician.
For more information regarding the screenings or
to schedule an appointment, call 1-877-237-1344 or visit us on the
web at
www.lifelinescreening.com. Pre-registration is required.

The Paige Agency has invited the Pittsfield Area

Smart Steps Update
59 seniors from our surrounding towns walked
16,337,338 steps altogether with 44 actually finishing the program.
We enjoyed a big celebration last month with prizes, raffles,
awards, and great food. Some of our folks are continuing on to walk
the number of steps it would take to walk to California after that
maybe we will walk around the world! Any takers? We will be doing
this again next spring. We'll keep you posted. Senior Centers are a
great place to get busy with your life.
Come and check us out at our Senior Center Open
House and meet the people who are making things happen here at the
Pittsfield Area Senior Center. Speak one-on-one with us about any of
our programs. Crafts, Smoking Cessation, Senior Swim, Easy Bridge
Lessons, Chair Dancing and Exercise, Trips, Book Club, and YOGA, or
talk to us about starting something new!
The Open House is open to the public and is
scheduled for September 18th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with fabulous
raffles, prizes and Food!
