Pittsfield  Economic  Development  Committee

Updating  Pittsfield’s  Economic  Profile Document

The Economic Development Committee (EDC) has contracted with Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission and Arnett Development Group to update Pittsfield’s 2007 Economic Profile. This document includes a list of all Pittsfield businesses. The EDC, itself, is updating this business list to ensure its accuracy and completeness.

Therefore, we are asking for your help. If you are the owner of a business or involved in any aspect of agriculture (lumber, farming, agricultural products, livestock, etc.) PLEASE contact Ted Mitchell, Chair EDC at 435-6573 or email [email protected]. We would like to verify your business name, location, contact information, service you provide and whether or not you have a website and/or Facebook page. Even if you don’t have a business name but provide a service we would like to hear from you (your name can be used as the name of your business (for example, if you are a CPA).

This document is vital in that it is used by the Board of Selectmen, EDC, Planning Board, Zoning Board, Master Plan Committee, Town Administrator and other town officials, realtors, business owners within town and especially out of town business owners looking to expand or planning to relocate to another town.

The updated document will be on the town’s EDC website with copies in the town administrator’s office and available through the EDC.

The EDC is constantly working to promote Pittsfield as a place for families to raise their children and businesses to relocate. Please help Pittsfield realize its potential.

Thank You.

Pittsfield Middle High School Girls Varsity Basketball

Congratulations to Lindsey Massey for winning the Farmington Holiday Tournament 3 point contest. Lindsey is pictured here with her coach, Heidi Hall.

The Pittsfield Middle High School Girls Varsity Basketball team has hit the half way point of their season and are still searching for their first win. The team had two tough away games before the Christmas break losing to Hinsdale 16-52 and Wilton 27-53.

The Farmington Holiday Tournament was next bringing two of the best games of the season so far.  The Panthers faced Farmington in the opener and started off slow, going into half time down 4-19. After adjusting the offense, the girls starting attacking the basket and outscored the Tigers 22 to 13. They fell just short though and lost 27 to 32. Kylee Morel led the scoring with 13 points, tallying all of them in the second half and Katie Rollins had 5 points and 13 rebounds.

In the second game versus Mascoma, Pittsfield had its best offensive game yet scoring 43 total points. They matched Mascoma in the first half, but a slow 3rd quarter put the Panthers behind and they couldn’t catch up, losing 43-53. Morel led all scorers with 19 points followed by Rollins with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Lindsey Massey with 7 points and 4 rebounds. Following the game was the tournament’s 3-point contest, with 2 representatives from each team. Morel and Massey were selected and Lindsey Massey set the bar by hitting 9 shots in 1 minute.  It held up through the rest of the shooters and Massey won the contest! It was the highlight of the tourney for the Panthers. Congratulations, Lindsey!

The team has two home games coming up on Tuesday, the 26th, versus Wilton and Thursday, the 28th, versus Newmarket. Come cheer us on, We would love to see you there!
